Paul Guski - President/Owner
Paul Guski graduated from Illinois State University in 1973, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in English. Upon graduating, Paul worked a few sales positions and eventually landed a job in the flooring industry and immediately enjoyed it. Being a person who prides himself on hard work and dedication, Paul decided to start his own flooring company in 1975. What originally started out as a one store small business, Trend Carpet & Tile flourished and other stores soon followed. Paul's leadership and outstanding knowledge for the world of business is what has allowed Trend Carpet & Tile to remain successful 32 years later. In his spare time, Paul is an avid tennis player. He is married with two children.

Henry Latkowski - General Manager
Henry Latkowski joined the Trend team in 1986 after 13 years in sales and marketing for a manufacturing and distribution company. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and during his 21 years working for Trend Carpet & Tile, has been nominated by the Chicago Floor Covering Association as "Retailer of the Year" three times. Henry has served four years on the Mohawk ColorCenter advisory board, in addition to serving on advisory boards for Shaw Industries and Gulistan Carpet. He speaks Polish and Spanish, is married and is a father of three children.

Steve Knasko- Sales
Steve Knasko has been working at Trend Carpet & Tile for 20 years. He oversees the flooring department and possesses a product knowledge that results in no question going unanswered. Before becoming involved in sales, Steve worked as an installer.

Doug Metz- Sales Manager
Doug Metz has been employed at Trend Carpet & Tile for 22 years. He is a college graduate and prides himself as being a home improvement planning specialist. A majority of Doug's customers are repeat buyers who appreciate his loyalty, knowledge and work ethic. He has attended Shaw's Trustmark Training programs to stay in tune with what's going on in the flooring industry and pass this information along to the realtors, rehabbers and homeowners he's working with. In addition, Doug speaks Spanish and is an avid watcher of HGTV and This Old House. For the last 12 years, Doug has volunteered as a Volleyball Coach for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church out of Elgin, IL.

Jennifer Gigele- Sales/Designer
In 2007, Jennifer Gigele celebrated her 20th anniversary of working at Trend Carpet & Tile. Jennifer received her A.A.S. Interior Design Degree and specializes in helping create the perfect look for your home. She can assist in the decision making process of color planning for your home or business, carpet and hardwood flooring, porcelain and glass tiles and decorative kitchen backsplash designs. Jennifer also works on putting together packages for custom home builders and relocation specialists.

Bill Layoff- Sales/Customer Service Specialist
Bill Layoff has worked at Trend Carpet & Tile for over 8 years. Attending numerous sales and motivation/management classes combined with his college experience, Bill has over 21 years of knowledge in the flooring industry. Decorators and small builders will especially appreciate the hands on attention they will receive when working with Bill.

Sarah Guski- Marketing/Sales
Sarah Guski graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. Upon graduating, she took a position at a law firm in Chicago and decided a year later to join the family business. Sarah has attended numerous sales and marketing seminars to further expand her knowledge on the flooring industry. Using these tools and the education she received in college has allowed her to be very successful in a short period of time at Trend. In the Fall of 2007, Sarah received her Illinois Real Estate Salesperson License as a way to meet and network with realtors and builders to generate sales further. Sarah works closely with her customers to make sure their experience with Trend Carpet & Tile always leaves them 100% satisfied.

Zak Knasko- Sales
Zak Knasko recently graduated from Eastern Illinois University, earning a degree in business management. He has been working on the sales floor for a year and has received various sales and product certifications. Zak also has an installation background and is extremely knowledgeable in the field of construction. Zak specializes in putting together bids for all types of flooring projects so please feel free to contact him if you are interested in having him assist you.
