Paul Guski - President/Owner
Paul Guski graduated from Illinois State University in 1973, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in English. Upon graduating, Paul worked a few sales positions and eventually landed a job in the flooring industry and immediately enjoyed it. Being a person who prides himself on hard work and dedication, Paul decided to start a flooring company of his own in 1975. What originally started out as a one store small business, Trend Carpet & Tile grew and other stores followed soon after. Paul's leadership and outstanding knowledge for the world of business is what has allowed Trend Carpet & Tile to remain successful over 35 years later. In his spare time, Paul is an avid tennis player. He is married with two children.

Sarah Guski- Vice President
Sarah graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the second generation to the family business. Sarah has attended numerous sales and marketing seminars to further expand her knowledge on the flooring industry. Using these tools and the education she received in college has allowed her to be very successful in a short period of time at Trend. In the Fall of 2007, Sarah received her Illinois Real Estate Salesperson License as a way to meet and network with realtors and builders to generate sales further and be well informed on the latest housing trends. It is important to Sarah that her clients are always 100% satisfied with their experience at Trend Carpet and Tile. She guarantees competitive pricing and excellent customer service for both residential and commercial projects.

Steve Knasko has been working at Trend Carpet & Tile for over 20 years. He oversees the flooring department and possesses a product knowledge that results in no question going unanswered. Before becoming involved in sales, Steve worked as an installer.

Doug Metz- Sales
Doug has been employed at Trend Carpet & Tile for over 25 years. He is a college graduate and prides himself as being a home improvement and planning specialist. Most of Doug's customers are repeat buyers who appreciate his loyalty, knowledge and work ethic. He stays in tune with the latest trends in flooring and passes this information on to the builders, realtors, rehabbers and homeowners he is working with. Doug speaks Spanish and he is an avid watcher of HGTV and This Old House.
For the last 15 years, Doug has volunteered as a volleyball coach at Good Shepherd and St. John's Lutheran Schools in Elgin. Doug is still covering the Dundee area, where he worked for 25 years, as well as the Glendale Heights location. He will gladly bring samples to your home and plan out all your flooring projects.
